Rosso di Montalcino 2017

The 2017 Rosso di Montalcino shows sweet strawberry, cherry, and spice, with hints of worn leather, exotic florals and undergrowth. It’s both very pretty yet earthy at the same time, in an
expression that is growing on me with each tilt of the glass. Black cherry, minerals and wild herbs meld together in a perfectly balanced delivery. The finish is medium in length, drying the senses a bit too much with brisk acids and wood tan nin, but leaving notes of fresh red berry and floral tones to distract me enough from it.
